CCNA course: Your Gateway Into The World Of Technology
If you are one of those who want to
enter the world of technology, you may go in for the CCNA course offered by
CISCO. CCNA stands for Cisco Certified Network Associate certification from
Cisco.
CCNA course certification is a second-level Cisco Career certification which
indicates that a person has a basic knowledge of networking. CCNA course
certification enables a person to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot
medium-size routed and switched networks. This also enables a person to
implement and verify the connections to remote sites in a WAN.
Cisco added three CCNA courses in October 2008. These associate-level courses
confirm an individual's specialised skills in voice, security, and wireless.
CCNA Voice: The
CCNA Voice Course
validates a person’s basic knowledge and skills required to administer a voice
network. The Cisco CCNA Voice certification confirms that the person possesses
the required skill for specialised job in voice technologies, such as voice
technologies administrator, voice engineer, and voice manager. This CCNA course
also validates a person’s skills in VoIP technologies like IP telephony, IP PBX,
handset, voicemail solutions, and call control.
CCNA Wireless: The CCNA Wireless checks a person’s knowledge and skills to
configure, implement, and support of wireless LANs, specifically those networks
using Cisco equipment. With a CCNA Wireless certification, professionals can
support a basic wireless network on a Cisco WLAN. This CCNA course includes
information and practice activities to prepare them for configuring, monitoring,
and troubleshooting basic tasks of a Cisco WLAN in SMB and Enterprise networks.
CCNA Security: The CCNA Security checks a person’s knowledge related to securing
Cisco networks. With a CCNA Security certification, a professional is able to
demonstrate his skills related to the developing of a security infrastructure.
This CCNA course also enables a professional to recognise threats and
vulnerabilities to networks, and to mitigate security threats. The
CCNA Security courses
emphasise core security technologies, installation, troubleshooting and
monitoring of network devices. These courses also give importance to maintaining
integrity and competency in the technologies that Cisco uses in its security
structure.
Cisco provides you
CCNA training
to help you grow into a qualified professional. However, there is an exam
required for the certification to test the knowledge in the security level and
job skill to be a part of the Cisco group. CCNA security certification is the
first step to those who want to get their CCSP certification.
