Until May 2010 ProNetExpert led a nomadic existence as far as office location was concerned after the founding of the Company. However the decision was taken in mid 2009 to locate the administrative head office in the City of Edinburgh. Business expansion quickly followed and it soon became apparent that the serviced offices we occupied at the time was not an option for the burgeoning staffing levels. Although the directors were keen to remain in the centre of Edinburgh there followed a period of searching that included other areas across the city.

Finally, and after great consideration, we settled on leased accommodation in Leith – the Port of Edinburgh – a cosmopolitan area some two miles from the City centre, currently under considerable renovation, in terms of housing and commerce, that is steeped in history and is now the centre of a gastronomic renaissance with three, one starred Michelin restaurants within a couple of hundred yards of each other. From the 14th and 15th Centuries Leith was the main trading establishment, on the east coast of Scotland, with the continent dealing with the Hanseatic League, the Low Countries and of course France that led to “The Auld Alliance”.

Our office accommodation is a barge moored on the Water of Leith just yards from where Mary Queen of Scots landed back in Scotland, from France, to reclaim the throne of Scotland. The name of the barge we occupy, Le Belle Esperance or “The Beautiful Hope” was the name of the ship that brought Mary’s mother Mary of Guise to Scotland.

ProNetExpert Eastern Europe

We have recently signed the legal documents to open a second office in the Bulgarian city of Sofia. We have had significant contact and business opportunities in Eastern Europe and ProNetExpert recognise that the products we support and have supplied to this location dovetail nicely into the overall portfolio of products in our corporate offering. A Managing Director has been appointed and business operations are to commence from this location in September 2010.

ProNetExpert USA

We are also pursuing the possibilities of opening another satellite office in America. We have already been in discussions with a potential Managing Director for this location and these discussions are at an advanced stage. More information will follow when we have established the office in this very lucrative market place.

Other locations throughout the World are constantly under consideration and if the business opportunities exist that fall into our future forward business strategic plan then they will be actively pursued.
